Model Space was born from my experience working as an electrical engineer within the building services industry.
Throughout my career, I regularly encountered BIM and drafting services that could produce drawings accurately but often lacked the engineering understanding needed to support effective MEP coordination. Models looked correct on screen, yet practical installation challenges, coordination issues, and buildability considerations were sometimes overlooked.
Having worked closely with consultants, contractors, and design teams, I recognised the growing demand for BIM support that combined technical modelling expertise with genuine engineering knowledge. At the same time, the industry was facing an increasing shortage of skilled MEP engineers, creating additional pressure on project teams to deliver more with fewer resources.
Model Space was created to bridge that gap.
By combining hands-on engineering experience with specialist BIM and drafting capabilities, clients gain access to practical, engineer-led support that contributes value throughout the project lifecycle. From early-stage design development through to fully coordinated construction models, the focus is always on improving coordination, reducing risk, and helping projects progress efficiently.
